Esko Männikkö | Time Flies. A Highlight
shortlisted for the Global Fine Art Awards
The exhibition Time Flies. A Highlight by Esko Männikkö, on display at Collezione Maramotti from May to September 2015, has been shortlisted in the Photography section for the Global Fine Art Awards, together with exhibitions presented by The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, and High Museum of Art, Atlanta.
Global Fine Art Awards is the international prize dedicated to the best art and design exhibitions in the world, and with a special attention paid to their curatorship and layout.
The jury has made its selection by examining more than 200 museums and 1,000 exhibitions, besides press reports and art reviews.
The selection of the shortlisted exhibitions – from 19 countries across all continents – has been carried out by a jury of professionals and experts in the art world, including Peter Trippi (editor-in-chief of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine), Dean Phelus (American Alliance of Museum's Senior Director of Leadership Programs), Gina Costa (art historian and curator, previously at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago), Dr. Barbara Aust-Wegemund (international lecturer, art history consultant and curator).
The GFAA jury members will name the winners for each of the eight categories of the prize, while the public will indicated the ninth winner “Youniversal” (the most popular), by casting the ballot directly in the GFAA website and in the social media.
The winners will be announced in Miami, on 30 November 2015.
